we are a
MULTISITE CHURCH
What this means is that each Sunday we meet in various places around our city. We do it this way because we want to see the love of Jesus reaching as many of the different communities of Manchester as possible.
At the moment, we have six in-person meetings every Sunday spread across five locations (we call them ‘sites’). There are morning meetings in Gorton (10:30am) Fallowfield (10:30am) Heaton Moor (10:30am), Ladybarn (10:30am) and Reddish (10:30am) and an evening meeting in Fallowfield (5pm). We also have a meeting in Spanish every other Sunday in Fallowfield at 2pm.Â

STARTING NEW SITES & CHURCHES IN MANCHESTER AND BEYOND
Manchester is a very entrepreneurial city and it seems as if there is always a new thing happening somewhere! At CCM we are always looking to start new sites and churches in Manchester to reach different areas of our city, and we want to do what we can to help other people plant new churches across the world (we set up an online training hub to help equip this – take a look).

there is loads going on for
MUSICIANS
We believe that all of life matters to God, and we want to innovate and excel in the arts, business, education and whatever other fields we find ourselves in.
We prize music very highly and want to invest in musicians, both in our church and in local communities. We have recently set up a community youth choir in Gorton, and we have been running songwriting workshops for songwriters, lyricists and poets within the church and have developed and produced some of the songs that emerged from these times. Click below to see some of those songs…
OUR VISION
Our vision is to build God’s kingdom by starting loads of churches in Manchester that are characterised by DEVOTION, COMMUNITY and MISSION.
Another way of saying this is that in these churches, we love God, we love each other and we love everybody.
Devotion means that it is all about Jesus. As a church, we put him in first place, centre stage and we are devoted to him. Across the whole of Christ Church Manchester, you will see an absolute and unapologetic desire to honour, glorify, lift up and exalt Jesus. Everything is about him. This is devotion.
Being devoted to Jesus means that we are Bible people who base all that we do on his word. It also means that we eagerly desire his Spirit, and love to meet with him and spend time in his presence. This devotion is not limited to the times when we gather together, but we want to be equipped as disciples to live out our devotion in every part of our lives.
DEVOTION
COMMUNITY
Community is about love for one another. Jesus once prayed that his church would be ‘one’, just as he and his Father are one. He wants our relationships to be as close as the relationship he has with his Father! The church is one big family. We spend time together (sharing good food is a big deal for us), we champion one another and cheer each other on, and are there for each other in times of need.
In part, this happens through some of the structured stuff that we do – Sunday meetings, community groups and the like – but it quickly goes beyond this to natural friendships and sharing together in the ups and downs of life.
Mission means that we want to share the good news of Jesus with everyone we can. We want as many people as possible to experience the incredible love of God, and we want the broken, hurting and needy people around us to be served and helped.
As well as running Alpha courses to provide a setting for people to explore the claims of Jesus, we have street teams that regularly go out and engage with those that want to know more. We work with other churches in Manchester and across the world to share Jesus locally and in the nations, and we work with some great local organisations to help provide the specialist support needed to help some of the most marginalised in our society.

we want to be a
DISCIPLE MAKING COMMUNITY
Following Jesus is a life-long pursuit where there is always more to learn and new adventures to have. We all have a role to play in helping each other to grow as disciples. We reckon there are three keys to growing in our faith.
The first is proximity. When Jesus called his first followers, it was to be in community with each other and with him. By sharing his life with his disciples, Jesus was able to be an example and encouragement for them in their growth. Both through our community groups and through informal friendships, we are a church where people spend lots of time with one another, and with different leaders, and share in the Christian journey together.
The second way that we grow is learning. At Christ Church Manchester, we want to be learning new things all the time, and as well as our Sunday services, we have developed the CCM Academy training initiative, including a School of Theology, a Gap Year Program that combines training and personal development with a placement at one of our churches in Manchester, and other practical discipleship and leadership training.
Thirdly, it is important to have challenging opportunities to make a difference, even at a very early stage. Part of the culture of our church is to ‘Have a Go’, and we are quick to make space for people to get involved, try new things and take some responsibility.Â

Time and again in the Bible we see God fighting the corner of the downtrodden and the oppressed. It seems that there is a special place in God’s heart for the poor, and there is a special place in our heart too.
We want to make a difference for those who need it most. We look out for those within our community who are having a tough time of it, and we have various initiatives going on to serve the poor. We have also developed partnerships where we help support and resource the work of great charities and churches in Manchester, including organisations such as the Oasis Centre, Boaz Trust and Just Love Manchester.
we also want to see
THE POOR LIFTED OUT OF POVERTY
and
THE RICH EMBRACE GENEROSITY
As a church, we want to give away whatever we can. We give away loads of money each year to fund work with the poor and international ministry, and we also invest time and finance into creating resources that we can give away to the wider church and the wider world.Â
Generosity is part of what it means to follow Jesus, and part of our vision for Manchester is to see those who have been blessed with a lot using it to build God’s kingdom and experiencing for themselves the truth of Jesus’ words that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
