This sermon was based on Hebrews 4:14-16

Jesus the Great High Priest

14Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

The high priest stood between God and the people and once a year interceded for them but Jesus is a great high priest who is always in the presence of God to intercede on our behalf.

We don’t have to go straight through systems and sacrifice a lot to be forgiven, we get to go straight to Jesus

He knows what it is like to suffer because he has known everything we have except for the sin.

God made a way for us to come and talk right to him so we should do that, and just walk up to Him.

We have been given a gift to not walk through the world alone, let’s not take that for granted and seek to spend time with him.
