The Full Assurance of Faith

19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

As fallen humans we have a powerful desire to be in control. This can be pictured as outside in living, the old and dead way. Attempting to do external actions, fasting and prayer to be right with God done for status, to make us super Christians. Living for Worldly approval not Godly approval

But, it is actually our position that we already have in Christ that causes God to say you are approved! when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we are placed in the same position as Jesus had, as He walked this earth, as He always has had with the Father.

Our starting point won’t be, I MUST, but it will be love. Love for God will inspire all of the actions that come from us. We will not try to love our enemy but find the Holy Spirits love will leak out of us. We will not try to overcome sins that keep dogging us because we will value Jesus higher.
