BIBLE VERSES

This sermon was based on Isaiah 9:6-7

For To Us A Child Is Born

6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and of peace
there will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.

KEY POINTS

Christmas is about something history defining, universe changing happening.

Christmas is when we celebrate that a perfect God chose to be among imperfect people.

Before Jesus, one person, once a year could enter the presence of God. But while Jesus lived, Hundreds every day did what used to be for 1 person alone, came into personal contact with God.

Revelation 1:12-15 and Isaiah 9:6-7 Speak of The Glory and Power of Jesus which he willingly gave up to enter a sinful suffering world out of love for us.

The christmas story is a love story, about a rejected lover pursuing the one they love, putting aside everything just to be with them.
