TRAINING AT CCM

One of the keys to growing as disciples of Jesus is to be constantly learning new things. We have set up the CCM Academy to ensure that there are always learning opportunities for us all.

SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY

The CCM School of Theology is designed to provide high quality theological training that fits alongside a busy life. It is both simple enough to be grasped, and deep enough to be challenging.

The course is run over a two year period, meeting for one Saturday morning per month. It covers the whole Bible narrative over the course of two years, as well as diving deep on some key theological topics.

CCM GAP YEAR PROGRAMME

The CCM gap year programme has been designed for people who want to invest a year in serving the church, being trained in their theology and their gifts, and developing personally and spiritually.

The year includes weekly in-house training sessions, as well as six-week long residential training sessions in Bedford with other churches. It also includes an elective stream where you will be mentored and coached in a particular ministry area that is on your heart.

At CCM we love to help creative people to develop and grow in their gifts. As such, we run songwriting workshops on a regular basis to help musicians, lyricists and poets to grow in their craft and develop new music. We want to help produce good music, whether this is music that is written to use in the church, or music written for a wider audience.

At these workshops, you will hear experienced songwriters sharing their processes, work on some collaborative songwriting, and have the opportunity to bring some of the songs that you are currently working on and get ideas to take those songs to the next level. There are also follow-up one-to-one and group mentoring sessions.

BROADCAST CHURCH PLANTING

At CCM, we have learned quite a lot about church planting over the years, and we wanted to make this knowledge base available to others, so we set up the Broadcast Church Planting Network.

Broadcast is an online hub of church planting resources that we have created, including webinars, coaching groups, training videos, blogs and articles, and it is highly recommended to anyone with an interest in starting a new church or site.

We then supplement this with our ‘Developing Preacher’ program that is designed to help those who preach regularly take their preaching to the next level.
